Dance planned at VFW post

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 12122 will host a dance featuring Endless Summer from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the post. Cover charge is $10 and includes pupu. All donations help support the post and its work with veterans in Kona.

AdvoCats clinic and meeting coming up

AdvoCats meets at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Kona Vistas community center on Pualani Street off of Lako Street.

AdvoCats is a Hawaii County endorsed nonprofit trap-neuter-return organization, committed to solving the homeless cat problem in a humane way. National Feral Cat day is Oct. 16. The organization will hold a clinic Sept. 24. Traps are available for those who have cats that need to be captured, spayed or neutered and returned.
