Mitsuyo Takahashi
Mitsuyo Takahashi, 98, of Keaau died Sept. 21, 2014, at Hilo Medical Center. Born April 16, 1916, in Waimea, she was a homemaker.
Private services were held. Famly requests flowers and monetary gifts be omitted.
She is survived by sons, Leonard Takahashi of Keaau, Roy (Shirly) Takahashi of Keaau, Rodney (Lynn) Takahashi of Kailua-Kona; daughters, Joyce Lyons of Nevada, Gail Aki of Hilo; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.

James Clark
James “Jim” Ralph Clark, 79, of Ocean View died July 30, 2014, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Jan. 13, 1935, in Tucson, Ariz., he was a retired pressman, a Toastmaster, contract bridge player, author of “Bounty Man” and a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean War.
Friends may call at noon Oct. 8 at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery for a service.
He is survived by sons, John Clark of Ocean View, Joe Corcilius; daughters, Susan Starkey, Gail Corcilius; brothers, Jack Clark, all of Kingman, Ariz., Alan Clark of Big Bear, Calif., Thad Clark of Ocean View, Don Perry of San Diego; sister, Carol Wolfe of Culver City, Calif.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Derrick Nakano
Derrick Akira Nakano, 55, of Hilo died Sept. 27, 2014, at the Hilo Medical Center. Born March 1, 1959, in Hilo, he was the proprietor of Nakano Towing Company.
Friends may call at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 5 at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo for a 2 p.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by wife, Joan Nakano; daughter, Reesha Nakano; father, Francis Nakano; mother, Mitzi Nakano; brother, Daryl Nakano; maternal grandmother, Hideko Motoyama, all of Hilo; stepson, Jeffrey Nishimoto of San Diego; numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
