Big Island Drug Court participants, alumni and staff on Saturday volunteered during the 2014 Ironman World Championship in Kailua-Kona.

The volunteers assisted at an aid station, passing out water, ice, sponges, drinks and snacks, the state Judiciary said. The volunteers said it was awesome being able to help out in the community and to witness race participants putting every ounce of their effort into accomplishing their goals.
