A Hilo man is in police custody in connection with a burglary Monday in Hilo, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

A house on Kaumana Drive was broken into and jewelry and electronic items were removed. Investigation by Area I Criminal Investigations Section detectives led to the arrest of two men and a woman Thursday.

The woman, 43-year-old Traci Currence, who has no permanent address, and one of the men, 45-year-old Robert Dominguez, who also has no permanent address, were arrested on suspicion of theft, but released pending further investigation Friday afternoon, police said.

The second man, 20-year-old Tyler Leopoldino of Hilo, was charged at 1:30 p.m. Friday with first-degree burglary and second-degree theft. His bail was set at $7,000. He remains at the cellblock pending his initial court appearance scheduled for Monday, police said.
