HAGATNA, Guam — Air Force officials in Guam say human remains have been found in the general area where an airman reportedly went missing this week.

Pacific Daily News reports that security forces from Andersen Air Force Base found the remains Thursday morning and are in the processing of identifying them.

The remains were found as officials attempted to locate Airman Alec. M. Dye, who went missing Monday morning near Tarague Beach, north of the base.
