Ella Chesebro

Ella Leinani Chesebro, 90, of Hilo died Nov. 16, 2014, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born on March 15, 1924, in Papaaloa, she was a bartender and nanny.

Friends may call at 6 p.m. Dec. 6 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 7 p.m. service. Friends may call again at 8 a.m. Dec. 7 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 10 a.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn. Burial will be at Alae Cemetery, Mormon section.

She is survived by daughters, Louise (Albert Sr.) Maikui and Georgiana (Revelation, Mili) Kalauli, both of Hilo; sons, John Chesebro and Leonard (Juanita) Chesebro, both of Hilo; brothers, Robert (Irene) Tripp Sr. and Rupert (Shirley) Tripp Sr., both of Hilo, Randal Tripp of Honolulu; 16 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; 49 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Donald Davis

Donald “Don” Davis, 45, of Glenwood died Nov. 20, 2014, at home. He was born in Tracy, Calif.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. Dec. 6 at Coconut Island.

He is survived by wife, Kristi (Pratt) Davis; daughters, Kiana Davis, Denali Davis; father, James Davis of Escalon Calif.; brother, Darrin (Nicole) Davis of Modesto, Calif.

Royden Sadayasu

Royden Takeo Sadayasu, 75, of Papaikou died Nov. 3, 2014, at The Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu. Born in Papaikou, he was a former postal worker and an Army veteran.

Friends may call at 2 p.m. Dec. 7 at Alae Cemetery, Section F, for a graveside service. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by sisters, Mildred Fujimori of Hilo, Joyce (William) Otsuka of Palo Alto, Calif., Irene (Gary) Masada of Larkspur, Calif.; numerous nieces and nephews.

John Wong

John Mori Wong, age 55, of Hilo died Nov. 21, 2014, at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born Feb. 13, 1959, in California, he was the co-owner of Kui &I Florist in Hilo.

Friends may call at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 7 at New Hope Hilo Church, 840 Kupulau Road, for a 4 p.m. celebration of life. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by wife, Caroline Wong of Hilo; son, Joshua Wong of Hilo; daughter, Diana Wong of Hilo; parents, Wesley and Debbie Wong of Lincoln, Calif.; sister, Diana (Brad) Carroll of Arizona; numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Dorothy McIlhenny

Dorothy Helen McIlhenny, 88, of Kailua-Kona died Nov. 27, 2014, at her residence. Born May 13, 1926, in Morrisville, Pa., he was a retired florist.

Friends may call at 10 a.m. Dec. 9 at the Hawi County Cemetery for a service. Family requests casual attire be worn. Flowers are welcome.

She is survived by son, Clayton (Terri) McIlhenny of Delta, Colo.; daughters, Arlene (Danny) Ewing of Kailua-Kona, Kathleen (James) Kearns of Columbia, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
