HONOLULU — Honolulu police have released the name of a man who died of injuries suffered in a beating Tuesday at a home in the Salt Lake neighborhood.

Police say 33-year-old Jesse Waikiki died of blunt force injuries to his face.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports a 41-year-old Salt Lake man was taken into custody after the 5 a.m. incident but that no charges have been filed.

Police are seeking a second man who may have been involved in Waikiki’s death.

A 38-year-old woman suffered head injuries in the incident and was taken to a hospital in serious condition.

Police say they may have been struck with a metal object.

Police say an argument began inside a home and spilled into the street, where Waikiki and the injured woman were found.
