The Kailua-Kona community was put in the holiday spirit Saturday night when the 30th annual Kailua-Kona Christmas parade marched through Kailua Village. Marching and musical units, lighted vehicles and a visit from Santa on his sleigh brought cheer to those watching the event.
Once again, the parade included the Menehune Holiday Food Drive benefiting The Food Basket with parade participants collecting canned food along the course.
This year’s theme was “Na Mele O Kalikimaka — The Songs of Christmas.”
