Editor’s note: This log of property crimes reported in the Kona District is a regular feature of West Hawaii Today and is compiled using Hawaii Police Department records. The department considers North and South Kona one district.

BURGLARY

Nov. 15, a burglary was reported on the 73-1100 block of Loloa Drive. The victim said a suspect made an entry into the studio by busting through the connecting door, which was secured. The victim rents from the suspect, who also assaulted the victim during the burglary.

Nov. 21, money, electronics, jewelry and documents were reported stolen on the 6300 block of Onouli Uka Road in South Kona.

Nov. 24, a door was damaged and money and a backpack were reported stolen on the 4400 block of Kakahiaka Street in North Kona.

Nov. 24, money was reported stolen from the 1000 block of Keopuka Mauka Road in South Kona.

Nov. 26, a cellphone and hand tools were reported stolen from the 5900 block of Kuakini Highway in North Kona.

Dec. 9, a burglary was reported on the 4200 block of Hulikoa Street and a glass door was damaged, but nothing taken.

Dec. 14, a burglary was reported on the 100 block of Ehukai Street and two suitcases with contents were taken.

STOLEN VEHICLES

Nov. 15, a blue and white Honda Metropolitan was allegedly stolen from the victim’s workplace on the 74-5400 block of Kaiwi Street.

Nov. 19, a red and black Kawasaki KLR 650 motorcycle was allegedly stolen from a home on the 81-6400 block of Hawaii Belt Road. The victim reported to police that his neighbor called him after hearing two male voices outside his home and the sounds of someone loading something into a vehicle and leaving. When the victim went home to check the situation out, he discovered his motorcycle was removed without his permission.

Nov. 21, a silver 2014 Nissan Maxima four-door sedan bearing Hawaii license plate ZBH021 was reported stolen from the Kahaluu Beach area in North Kona.

Nov. 24, an orange 2002 Honda Rancher FourTrax four wheeler was reported stolen from the 1000 block of Onouli Uka Road in South Kona.

Nov. 25, a light blue 2011 Kawasaki Mule all-terrain vehicle was reported stolen from the 6500 block of Mamalahoa Highway in North Kona.

Nov. 26, a gold 1997 Nissan Maxima four-door sedan bearing Hawaii license plate GRR149 was reported stolen from the 4400 block of Kakahiaka Street in North Kona.

Nov. 29, a black 2011 Jonway moped was reported stolen on the 5700 block of Melelina Street and has been located.

Nov. 29, a red 1998 Dodge Avenger, bearing the Hawaii license plate HZP848, was reported stolen on the 6600 block of Walua Road and has been located.

Nov. 30, a white 1993 Ford Escape, bearing Hawaii license plate ZCP076, was reported stolen on the 6500 block of Seaview Circle.

Dec. 1, a black 1996 Honda CRV, bearing Hawaii license plate GEF511, was reported stolen in the area of Hawaii Belt Road and Kaloko Drive. It has been located.

THEFT

Nov. 18, three unknown men in a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck allegedly stole a 2006 Honda Aquatrax jet ski and trailer from the victim’s driveway on the 73-1200 block of Ilau Street. The items were valued at $1,500.

Nov. 19, someone allegedly removed two Kawasaki FAF950 Mule 3010 all-terrain vehicles from a parking area outside of a mechanic garage on the 89-0400 block of Hawaii Belt Road. Both ATVs had keys in the ignition and were valued at $8,000 each.

THEFT FROM VEHICLES

Nov. 29, a camera, cellphone and wallet with content were allegedly taken from a vehicle in the area of Kahaluu Beach Park.

Dec. 2, a window of a vehicle in the area of Alii Highway and Hokulia was damaged, and unknown items were allegedly taken.

Dec. 4, a purse, its contents and a cellphone were allegedly taken from a vehicle in the area of Kua Bay.
