LIHUE — The body of a man has been recovered from a beach on Kauai.
The Garden Island newspaper in Lihue reports that lifeguards recovered the man’s body from Salt Pond Beach early Tuesday afternoon.
Kauai County officials say the man is believed to be in his 30s and was known to camp in the nearby area.
Officials say there is no known address for the man, whose name was not immediately released.
Officials say an autopsy is planned.
