In a recent survey of area schools, slippers were ranked in the top 3 needs for our Island Keiki, so KAPA Radio station’s Kakoo I Na Keiki Initiative and the Hawaii Island United Way came up with the Keiki Slipper Drive. The collection of slippers and monetary donations was held Saturday at KTA stores in Kona, Keauhou and Hilo. Slippers will be distributed to area schools. To donate visit www.hiuw.org/keiki
