The cast has been set for the Pulitzer Prize-winning play “Our Town” that will presented by Aloha Performing Arts Company starting April 17 at Aloha Theatre in Kainaliu.

“Our Town” had its world premiere on Broadway at the Henry Miller Theatre on Feb. 4, 1938. The play, presented in three acts, tells the story of two families: the Webbs and Gibbses. It tells of the changes in a small town and the passing of time through the narration of the nameless stage manager, portrayed by Jerry Tracy. The Webb family features Joel Michaelson as Mr. Webb; Karen Barry as Mrs. Webb; Mia Kriebl-Bruno as Emily Webb; and Vincent Hicks as Wally Webb. The Gibbs family consists of John Sucke as Dr. Gibbs; Renee Monell as Mrs. Gibbs; Miles Lugo as George Gibbs; and Sofia Ribeiro as Rebecca Gibbs.

Other cast members include Sarah Crawford as Mrs. Soames; David Fero as Simon Stimson; Dan Hoff as Professor Willard; John Holliday as Constable Warren and Joe Stoddard; Oliver Kriebl-Bruno as Howie Newsome; Kathryn Mayer as Samantha Craig; Ariana Rose as Joe Crowell; Zea Levine as Mary Cartwright; Barbara Masters as Mrs. McCarty; and Jade Onaka, Kenya Gray and Kelsey Gray as the Rag Tag Gang. Toni Reynolds, Paula Cornwell, Cameron Bailey, Pamela Hicks, Alicia Hicks and Jeannie Kutsunai complete the cast.

“Our Town” is an American classic, and takes place in the fictional town of Grover’s Corners, N.H. The first act, called “Daily Life,” depicts one day in Grover’s Corners: May 7, 1901. The second, “Love and Marriage,” takes place three years later, and the third act, “Death and Dying,” finishes the play nine years later, in 1913.

The production team is led by co-producers Karen Barry and Annabelle Treacy. The director is Felicity Johnson and assistant director is Tiffany Kutsunai. Other crew positions include set designer, Gerald Lucena; master builder, Victor Lugo; lighting designer, BoB Gage; costuming, Paula Cornwell; stage manager, Joel Michaelson; props,Toni Reynolds; concessions, Michelle Gray; and box office, Kerry Matsumoto.
