Man pulled from water off Oahu dies

HONOLULU— A 56-year-old man pulled from the waters off the Heeia Boat Ramp has died.

Honolulu Fire Department spokesman Capt. David Jenkins tells the Honolulu Star-Advertiser that a private boat pulled the man from the water Saturday and transported him to the Heeia pier.

Fire department responders arrived at 4:26 p.m. and administered CPR.

Paramedics transferred the man to a hospital. He was in critical condition and he died Sunday.

The man’s name and hometown were not immediately available.
