Audrey Gonsalves

Audrey Gonsalves, 77, of Hawaiian Beaches died Feb. 28, 2015, at home. Born April 13, 1937, in Honolulu, she was a retired assembly welder for General Motors Automobile Manufacturing Plant in Fremont, Calif.

Friends may call at 3 p.m. April 13 at the family residence, 15-2707 Opae St. in Hawaiian Beaches for a celebration of life potluck. Family requests casual attire be worn.

She is survived by husband, Albert Gonsalves Sr. of Hawaiian Beaches; sons, Joseph (Mikhala) Gonsalves of Vicenza, Italy, Albert (Angelika) Gonsalves of Columbia, S.C., Alan (Tracy) Gonsalves of Hawaiian Beaches, Adam (Jennie) Gonsalves of Fremont, Calif.; daughters, Teresa (Hector) Castillo of Modesto, Calif., Sabrina Gonsalves, Tabitha Roberts, both of Hawaiian Beaches; sisters, Antoinette Tsusaki of Kapolei, Oahu, Tony De Luiz of Maui; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Melanie Collier

Melanie April Collier, 67, of North Kohala died March 28, 2015, at her residence. Born April 15, 1947, in American Fork, Utah, she was a longtime veterinary assistant and a full-time cowgirl.

Private services are pending. Memorial donations may be sent to North Hawaii Hospice at 65-1328 Kawaihae Road, Kamuela, HI 96743.

She is survived sister, Pamela Chilton of Palm Desert, Calif.; brother, Greg Chilton of North Kohala; numerous nieces and nephews.

Minoru Shimabukuro

Minoru “Winchell” Shimabukuro, 95, of Hilo died March 26, 2015, at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born Sept. 2, 1919, in Laupahoehoe, he was a retired co-owner for the former Papaaloa Community Store, an Army veteran, lifetime member of the Akaka Falls Lions Club, member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin, Central Komohana Kumiai, Hui Okinawa, various golf clubs and gateball clubs.

Private services were held. Family requests no monetary gifts or flowers.

He is survived by wife, Mabel Shimabukuro of Hilo; sons, Wayne (Maurine Simpson) Shimabukuro of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Craig (Katherine) Shimabukuro of Hilo; brother, Tokihiko (Fusako) Shimabukuro of Torrance, Calif.; sisters, Tsuneko Taira of Torrance, Calif., Setsuko Shimabukuro of Honolulu; one grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.

Billie Shrock

Billie Marie Shrock, 78, of Kailua-Kona died March 12, 2015, at her residence. Born May 29, 1936, in Kalispell, Mont., she was an executive secretary for SAFCO Insurance Co.

Services were held in Washington.

She is survived by husband, Lee Shrock of Kailua-Kona; sons, Michael (Lori) Shrock of Greenville, S.C., Scott Shrock of Wanatchee, Wash.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
