Will Tuttle, Ph.D., a pianist, composer, educator, and author based in northern California will be at the Hawaiian Queen Coffee Garden in Kailua-Kona Thursday and April 25 and at the New Thought Center in Kealakekua on April 24 and 26.

A former Zen monk and philosophy professor, Tuttle has performed and lectured widely throughout North America and Europe and has taught college courses in creativity, humanities, mythology, and comparative religion. His doctoral research at the University of California, Berkeley, focused on educating intuition in adults. He has a broad background in meditation and is a Dharma Master in the Korean Zen tradition. Tuttle has created six CDs of uplifting original piano music, authored a book and created “The Four Viharas Meditation” to develop love, compassion, joy, and inner peace and “Living In Harmony With All Life,” a discourse on the main spiritual teachings that lead to inner and outer harmony.

The four-day series of events will start Thursday at 4 p.m. at the Hawaii Queen Coffee Garden off Henry Street with the workshop, “Conscious Eating for a New Culture of Peace.”

Tuttle will discuss the main ideas from his Amazon best-selling book, “The World Peace Diet,” which sheds new light not only on the underlying causes of injustice and disease, but also offers valuable insight into how we can each contribute to world peace and a benevolent revolution of consciousness and in our culture. He will also be available for discussion, Q &A, and exercises.

On April 24, he will be available for a Q&A session after the screening of “Cowspiracy – The Sustainability Secret” at 7 p.m. at the New Thought Center in Kealakekua. Tuttle appears prominently in the film as it comes to startling conclusions about the solutions to many of our world’s major problems.

On April 25, the evening piano concert, “Concert For A New World” at the Hawaiian Queen Coffee Garden will be an inspiring and uplifting instrumental prayer for world peace and for celebrating the beauty of the Earth and the potential of the human spirit. Rooted in ancient sacred traditions that see music as a vehicle of consciousness, the 6 p.m. concert generates a field of healing and insight. It includes visionary art by Tuttle’s spouse, Madeleine, a nature artist from Switzerland and fellow local artists Manuel Roberto and Irminsul with their harp and flute music.

At 1:30 p.m. April 26, Tuttle will host a workshop titled “Opening The Intuitive Gate” at the New Thought Center of Hawaii. Participants will learn to understand their own unique way of accessing their inner intuitive wisdom, and will experience directly their creative potential and the way spiritual insights can help them live more authentically and abundantly.” He will also present the meditation as well as the morning message, “Awakening Your Inner Genius” at the 10 a.m. service at New Thought.

Cost for the “Cowspiracy” screening with Q&A is $ 10; all other events are $15.
