Police officer deserves accolades

I’d like to share a short story of a Hawaii police officer who went above and beyond his role as an officer of the law.

It was a busy Sunday with a lot of traffic, when in the middle of the Kuakini Highway and Hanama Place traffic light, I spotted Hawaii Police Department Sgt. Rose in his police uniform down on his knees, changing a flat tire of an unlucky driver. I daught up with Sgt. Rose to ask him what makes him go all out to do what he did. “I was just doing what I was supposed to do,” replied Sgt. Rose.

I for one think Sgt. Rose did an excellent job out there that day and would like to salute him for his job well done in keeping our community safe and sound.
