Wayne Costa

Wayne Lawrence Costa, 68, of Pahoa died April 8, 2015, at home. Born on June 12, 1946, in Wailuku, Maui, he was a retired mechanic from Hawaii County Department of Parks and Recreation and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 2 at the Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church hall for a celebration of life. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by sons, Wayne (Karrie) Costa Jr., Tristen Costa, both of Pahoa, Delbert Pacheco of Alaska; daughter, Nyree (Todd) Costa of Pahoa; brothers, Manuel Costa III of Glenwood, Arnold Costa of Las Vegas, Norman (Vicky) Martin of Maui; sister, Carol Major of Oregon; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kaipo Cummings

Kaipo Ikaika Cummings, 20, of Pahoa died April 5, 2015, at home. Born Dec. 28, 1994, in Honolulu, he was a Pahoa High School class of 2013 graduate.

Friends may call at 4 p.m. May 2 at the family residence, 15-2434 Niaulani St., Pahoa, for a celebration of life.

He is survived by parents, Luke and Cloreen Cummings Sr. of Pahoa; sisters, Kanani Cummings, Kuuipo (Russell Narciso) Cummings, both of Pahoa; brother, Luke (Madi Hatchie) Cummings Jr. of Pahoa; two nieces; one nephew; numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.

Fumie Doi

Fumie “Margie” Doi, 92, of Honokaa died March 28, 2015, at home. Born in Papaikou, she was a retired meat and produce stocker with the former Sure Save Supermarkets in Waimea, member of Hamakua Jodo Mission Fujinkai and Goeika, Honokaa Senior Citizens Club, Ka Hui Kapa Apana O Waimea Quilting Club and former president of the University Extension Club.

Friends may call at 10 a.m. May 2 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for an 11 a.m. service. Cremation follows. Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.

She is survived by husband, Yutaka Doi of Honokaa; sons, Roland Doi of Paauhau, Sidney Doi of Aiea, Oahu; brothers, Sumio Nakada of Waimea, Haruto (Sadako) Nakada of Honolulu; sisters, Yoshiko (Sonny) Ishiki of Kukuihaele, Yoneko (Frank) McNeil of Colorado; one grandson; numerous nieces and nephews.

Paul Carmichael

Paul Carmichael, 63, of Kailua-Kona died April 3, 2015. He was born March 29, 1952, in Bamboo, Fla.

Private services are planned.

He is survived by daughter, Pauline (Tommy Shopay) Carmichael-Shopay of Kailua-Kona; son, Jimmy Carmichael of Kailua-Kona; stepson, Jeffery Delatorre of Hilo; father, Ned Carmichael of Goolwa, South Australia; sister, Ruth Calise of Rhode Island; one grandson; numerous family members.
