Arthur Hoke III

Arthur A. Hoke III, 54, of Hilo died April 19, 2015, at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born in Hilo, he was the boys coach for the Kamehameha Canoe Club, coached pop warner football, paddled canoe and was an Army veteran.

Friends may call at 4 p.m. May 8 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 5 p.m. celebration of his life. Scattering of his ashes will take place at 9 a.m.. May 9 at the Kamehameha Canoe Club Hale on Bay Front in Hilo. Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.

He is survived by wife, Julia Hoke of Hilo; sons, Arthur (Amrita) Hoke IV and Aaron (Jamie Alani) Hoke, both of Hilo, Alan Hoke of Clackamas, Ore.; daughters, Sara (Vincent) Hoke-Welle, LeeAnn (Anthony Ramos) Hoke, Pumehana Hoke, Angeline Hoke and Anelakiaiokeaomaluhia-maikalanikuakaamai Hoke, all of Hilo, Kahula (Minh) Ngyuen of Clackamas, Ore.; father, Arthur (Sibi) Hoke Jr. of Hilo; brother, Michael (Monique) Hoke of Hilo; sisters, Wanda (Roy) Pua-Kaipo and Kris Hokee, both of Hilo, Shelby (James) Oswell of Woodburn, Ore.; nine granddaughters; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Leslie Huihui Sr.

Leslie Kalani Huihui Sr., 45, of Las Vegas and formerly of Hilo died March 9, 2015, at home. He was a courier for Vegas.Com, member of Soka Gakkai International and former member of the Ironworkers Union Local 416.

Friends may call at 4:30 p.m. May 8 at the Soka Gakkai International Hall, 695 Makalika St., in Hilo for a 4:30 p.m. service. Friends may also call from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 9 at the Hawaii Big Game Fishing Clubhouse, Honokahau Harbor, in Kailua-Kona, for a memorial gathering/celebration of life. Family requests casual attire be worn. Lei or loose flowers are welcome.

He is survived by wife, Heidi Huihui of Kona; sons, Leslie (Jade Iaukea) Huihui Jr. of Hilo, Kainalu Huihui of Kona; sister, Donna (Glenn) Nekoba of Hilo; brothers, Eddie (Jerilyn) Huihui, Fred Huihui, Rolland Huihui and Harvey (Lei) Huihui, all of Kona,; two grandchildren; numerous aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Dr. Djon Lim

Dr. Djon Indra Lim, 77, of Hilo died April 15, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Sumatra, Indonesia, he was a physician in internal medicine and cardiology and member of the Hilo Badminton Club and supporter of the American Heart Association East Hawaii Division.

Friends may call at 10 a.m. May 8 at St. Joseph Catholic Church for a Mass. Friends may also call at 3 p.m. May 9 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 5 p.m. celebration of life. Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.

He is survived by wife, Sherry Lim of Hilo; son, Justin Lim of Hilo; daughter, Dewi Lim of Hilo; brother, Beny Achmadi of Jakarta, Java, Indonesia; sister, Sri Limasari of Medan, Sumatra, Indonesia; one granddaughter; numerous nieces and nephews.
