Aloha Performing Arts Company is seeking an independent contractor to serve as adult adviser to the Aloha Teen Theatre.
This group, which comprises children ages 13 to 18, meets weekly and works on various projects including performance and educational opportunities, fundraising, and a yearly off-island trip. The adviser needs to inspire, motivate and guide the members and serve as a sounding board and consultant to them, and be present at all teen theater meetings and events. The adviser will also need to keep accurate contact information for all members and be in communication with the parents of the teens, keeping them apprised of the group’s activities. Duties also include overseeing all teen theater officers, as well as the group’s budget. Applicants will be subject to a background check.
The new adviser is scheduled to begin working Aug. 1. The deadline to apply is June 30.
