NoKo Theater and the Kohala Village HUB present “The Gin Game,” a tragi-comedy that delves into the world of two senior citizens in a care facility as they play their hands at love, honesty and gin.

As Weller Martin and Fonsia Dorsey find their way around a game of gin played outside at their “home,” they reveal difficult parts of their lives, winning each other’s affection when it seems all is lost. For the strong language and subject matter, this is play, by D.L. Coburn, is for mature audiences.

“The Gin Game” will be directed by Jack Boyle and Eliza Rose, with technical assistance in light and sound by Jared Terpak. Performed by Eileen Hartwings and Carla Orellana.

Shows are at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at the Kohala Village HUB Barn. Tickets available for suggested donations of $15 at the Kohala Village Lobby or at the door. Donations support future performances at the Kohala Village HUB, a 501(C)(3) that celebrates the foods, arts, culture and education of Hawaii.
