Konawaena held its annual Green and White spring football game at Julian Yates Field.

The Brad Uemoto-era was ushered in with the game. Uemoto takes over the helm of Wildcat Football from previous head coach Cliff Walters, who retired after last season.

Uemoto said he has been very pleased with this spring’s workouts. Uemoto and his staff have been working with nearly 50 players this spring and rosters were split to make two even teams.

The game was designated as a benefit for the Hawaii Island Food Bank, with free admission provided with a donation of canned or nonperishable food product.
