Hawaii Island police are searching for a 16-year-old Kailua-Kona girl who was reported missing.

Kuuipo Taketa was last seen Jan. 19 in Kona, according to the Hawaii Police Department. She is described as 5-foot-2 inches tall, weighing 115 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts should call the department’s nonemergency line at 935-3311. Those who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
