Kam Hee

Kam Kee Hee, 93, of Keaau died June 1, 2015. Born in Honolulu, he retired from the Federal Aviation Agency as the chief of airport maintenance and served in the Navy.

Friends may call at 4 p.m. June 6 at Ballard Family Mortuary in Hilo for a service.

He is survived by wife, Margaret Hee of Keaau; sons, Lorren (Chung Sook) Hee, Kelvin (Cheryl) Hee, both of Oahu; daughters, Oarlene (Timothy) Wingate of Hilo, Nani (John) Hodgson of Texas; brothers, Charles Hee of Oahu, Edward (Jane) Hee of Arizona; sisters, Rose Moorefield of Oahu, Emma Lau of Oahu, Bernice Yee of California; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Paul Kan

Paul Yuen Pui Kan, 83, of Hilo died May 30, 2015, at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center in Hilo. Born Nov. 10, 1931, in Hong Kong, he was a businessman and retired teacher.

Burial of his cremated remains will take place at 10 a.m. June 6 at Alae Cemetery in Hilo.

He is survived by daughter, Shirley Kan of Waimea; son, Joseph Kan of San Diego; sisters, Wynna Wai-Lim Kan Metharom of Thailand, Mary Wai-Ling Pan of Connecticut; brothers, Yuen Too Kan, Yuen Shun Kan, Yuen Ming Kan, all of China, Yuen Chiu Kan, Yuen Chi Kan, both of Canada; five grandchildren.

Barbara Shoppe

Barbara B. Shoppe, 89, of Kailua-Kona died May 29, 2015. Forn May 1, 1926, in Arbor, N.J., she was an executive assistant for a pharmaceutical company and a bus driver for the disabled.

No services are planned.

She is survived by son, Michael Shoppe of North Plainfield, N.J.; sister, Catherine Spisso of Kailua-Kona; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
