Patricia Gardner

Patricia Gardner, 59, of Pahoa died July 8, 2015, at home. She was born in Massachusetts.

Friends may call at 2 p.m. July 26 at the Kahaluu United Methodist Church in Honolulu for a celebration of life. Friends may also call at 4 p.m. Aug. 2 at the Puula United Church of Christ in Nanawale for a 4 p.m. celebration of life.

She is survived by husband, Ward Gardner of Pahoa; son, Nick (Grace) Gardner of Pahoa; daughter, Jennifer (Hugo) Martinez of Pahoa; brothers, Charlie (Ellen) Peters and Nick (Clare) Baker, both of Virginia, William Baker of Massachusetts, Holbrook Baker of Connecticut, John (Jean) Peters of South Carolina; sister, Barbara (David) Westfall) Peters of North Carolina; six grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dale Hinchcliff

Dale Allen Hinchcliff, 64, of Kealakekua died July 4, 2015, at his residence. Born July 26, 1950, in Fresno, Calif., he was the owner of Hinchcliff Janitorial and Partyland of Hawaii.

Friends may call at 5 p.m. July 26 at Daylight Mind Coffee Co. in Waterfront Row on Alii Drive for a 5:30 p.m. celebration of life. Family requests casual attire be worn. Flowers are welcome.

He is survived by daughter, Sanya Hinchcliff of Kealakekua; brothers, Gordon Hinchcliff of Fresno, Calif., Clinton (Irma) Hinchcliff Sr. of Kaloko; four grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Angeline Calasa

Angeline Calasa, 89 of Keaau, formerly of Oahu died July 10, 2015, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born on Oahu, she was a homemaker.

Friends may call at 10 a.m. July 27 at Borthwick Mortuary Mauka Chapel on Oahu for an 11 a.m. service. Burial will follow at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery. Family requests aloha attire be worn. Flowers are welcome.

She is survived by son, Joseph Holmberg; daughters, Helen Realin, Pauline Molia; sisters, Frances Raquedan, Mildred Cataluna; brother, Glenn Aguiar; nine grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren.

Lillian Lomberg

Lillian Lomberg, 87, of Captain Cook died June 25, 2015, in Kealakekua. Born April 2, 1928, in Philadelphia, she worked as an insurance computer programmer.

Private services will be held.

She is survived by son, Jon (Sharona) Lomberg of Honaunau; two grandchildren.

Alexander Paglinawan Jr.

Alexander “Pancho” Paglinawan Jr., 55, of Hilo died July 15, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a musician and an Army veteran.

Services will be announced and held on Oahu at a later date.

He is survived by son, Alika Kelly of Texas; daughter, Winter Kelly of Virginia; sisters, Jody Paglinawan of Kaneohe, Oahu, Denise (Matt) Cadiz of Las Vegas, Queenie (Tony) Pada of Ewa Beach, Oahu; one granddaughter; numerous nieces and nephews.

Rekita Revilla

Rekita Revilla, 60, of Kukuihaele died July 7, 2015, at Hale Hoola Hamakua in Honokaa. Born Nov. 8, 1954, in Honokaa, she was a caregiver and worked at numerous hotels.

Private services were held.

She is survived by daughters, Alicia Cristobal of Hilo, Anna (Aric) Aurello of Honokaa; sister, Dortine (Rex) Bailado of Paauilo; brothers, Frederico (Vicenta) Revilla of Ookala, Robert Revilla of Waikaloa; three grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Dr. George Durham Jr.

Dr. George David Durham Jr., 90, of Hilo died June 26, 2015, at his residence. Born in Port Arthur, Texas, he was a retired professor of music and former music chairman at the University of Hawaii at Hilo, former band director at Hilo High School, former member of “The President’s Own” Marine Band in Washington, D.C., former tubist with the Hawaii County Band, founder of the Kanda Bayashi Hozonkai (Kanda Myojin) Tokyo, Japan and a World War II Marine Corps veteran.

Private services were held. Family requests no flowers or monetary gifts.

He is survived by wife, Yoko Durham of Hilo; daughter, Joan Durham of Sedona, Ariz.; two grandsons.

David Terado

David Perry Terado, 88, of Hilo died July 3, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center Extended Care unit. Born in Hawaii, he was the retired owner of David’s Taxi.

He is survived by son, David Nii of Hilo; daughter, Lydia Terado of the mainland; brothers, Gilbert Abalos of Mountain View, Wayne (Velma) Abalos of Hilo; sister, Dolly Best of Washington; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Manabu Uyeda

Manabu “Mana” Uyeda, 90, of Naalehu died July 5, 2015, at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Hilo, he was a retired electrician with Ka‘u Sugar Co. and World War II Army veteran serving with the 442nd Infantry Regiment.

Private services were held.

He is survived by sons, Lloyd (Coleen) Uyeda of Waipahu, Oahu, Wendell Uyeda of Naalehu; daughter, Patricia McAvoy of Hilo; brothers, Charles (Cynthia) Uyeda of Detroit, Herbert (Dale) Uyeda of Los Angeles; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
