Paul David Lucas, 64, of Kailua-Kona died July 3, 2015, at his residence. Born Sept. 29, 1950, in San Diego, he was a retired insurance agent and member of Grace Community Church.

Benjamin Bolos

Benjamin Delumondo Bolos, 81, of Hilo died July 25, 2015, at a care home in Waipahu, Oahu. Born in Ewa Beach, Oahu, he was co-owner of American Fence and in car sales.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. Aug. 3 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a 10:30 a.m. Mass. Burial follows at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Family requests aloha attire be worn.

He is survived by daughters, Brenda Bolos of Oahu, Renee Stolte and Tricia (John) Bejcek, both of Ohio; sons, Benton (Carrie) Bolos and Dayne (Tracy) Bolos, both of Hilo, Robin (Laurie) Bolos of Maui; brothers, Donald (Rose) Bolos of Waipahu, Oahu, William (Gladys) Bolos of Pearl City, Oahu; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Dennis Kaulia

Dennis Julian Kaulia, 57, of Kalaoa and Nanakuli, Oahu, died July 17, 2015, in Kona. Born Nov. 11, 1957, in Honolulu, he was owner and driver of Kaulia Trucking Co, a bird and chicken farmer, auto mechanic, and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Friends may call at 5 p.m. Aug. 6 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Kalani Street in Kailua-Kona for a 6 p.m. service. Friends may also call at noon Aug. 8 at the Waianae Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Waianae, Oahu, for a 2 p.m. service. A convoy will follow going to Makua Beach then to Nanakuli Homestead Cemetery for burial. The family requests casual attire be worn.

Abraham Silva, 86, of Hilo and formerly of Honokaa died July 21, 2015, at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Holualoa, he was a retired mason, member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and a Korean War Army veteran.

Valerie Kauhi-Jardine

Valerie Kalanikahua Kauhi-Jardine, 57, of Hilo died July 2, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center extended care unit. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired maintenance worker for Waiakea High School.

Taison Enriques

Taison Fiaavae Hokuikekai Enriques, 4 months, of Kailua-Kona died July 11, 2015, at Kapiolani Medical Center. He was born Feb. 13, 2015, in Kealakekua.

Lawton Kaleolani Kipapa, 58, of Hilo died July 12, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. He formerly worked as a warehouse operator for Diamond Head Papaya, was a member of the Central Christian Church Hilo and an ordained evangelist for House of Angels Ministries.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. Aug. 8 at Central Christian Church in Hilo for a 10 a.m. service. A reception follows at Keaukaha Beach Park. Family requests aloha attire be worn.

He is survived by brothers Lani (Marilyn) Ahuna of Waimanalo, Oahu, Don (Sharon) Ahuna of Keaau, Gabriel (Sandy) Kipapa of Keaukaha; sisters, Debra Silva, Velma Foster and Naomi Keolanui, all of Hilo; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

James Kahuanui

James “Jimmy” Kahuanui, 55, of Waimea died July 18, 2015, at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born Oct. 21, 1959, in Honolulu, he was a coach, farmer, craftsman, musician, song writer and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Mildred Fields

Mildred “Ma” Theresa Haleamau Fields, 88, of Hilo died July 22, 2015, at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. Born Jan. 18, 1927, in South Point, she was a retired employee for Woodcraft of Honolulu and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ainaola Ward.

Tom Pokorski

Tom “Pork” Pokorski, 61, of Covina Calif., and Glenwood died July 18, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Oct. 30, 1953, in Cleveland, he was a baseball coach for the University of Laverne, Pasadena City College and Mount San Antonio College and a minor league player for the Boston Red Sox organization.

He is survived by spouse, Linda Scanlan of Covina, Calif.; stepsons, Rob Scanlan of Denver, Tommy Scanlan of San Diego.

Irene Soloway

Irene Marie Soloway, 82, of Waikoloa died July 24, 2015, at her residence. Born Nov. 26, 1932, in Hazleton, Pa., she was the owner of Earth Lines, wholesalers of semi-precious jewelry.

She is survived by husband, Herbert Soloway of Waikoloa; daughters, Beverly (Martin) Prahl of Mt. Airy, Md., Laura Anderson of Kailua-Kona; sister, Constance Dyer of York, Pa.

Cecil Wear

Cecil Odell Wear, 69, of Keaau died July 9, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. Born March 25, 1946, in Anderson, Mo., he was a retired accountant for the State of Tennessee and member of the Hilo Seventh-day Adventist Church.
