Micah Kahanu organized a work day July 31 and Aug. 1 on Kailua Pier as his Eagle Scout project. Work consisted of refurbishing the bollards and the entrance to the pier. Kahanu has served in the Boy Scouts of America since he was 8 years old. He is a member of LDS Boy Scout Troop 131 and a senior at Kealakehe High School.
