Hawaii Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a West Hawaii man wanted for outstanding warrants. Police are looking for 33-year-old Shaye K.M. Nishida, whose last known address was in Waimea.

The photo is 10 years old, but is the most recent that police have on file for Nishida. Police have reason to believe Nishida may be armed and advise members of the public against approaching him.

Police ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call the department’s nonemergency line at 935-3311.

Those who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
