Competitors will ride North 13.5 miles to mile marker 80, make a U-turn and return to the finish line at mile-marker 86.

The Saturday Ride non-time trial bicyclists will start shortly after the last time trial competitor.

On the ‘Emily T Gail Show’

Guests: Dr. Frank and Laura Mallery-Sayre talk story about the 18th Annual Daniel R. Sayre Memorial Foundation Awards, Dinner, Dancing and Silent Auction at the Fairmont Orchid Sept. 5.

In 1997, 25 year old Daniel Sayre lost his life to a hiking accident in Pololu Valley. Frank and Laura watched as members of the Hawaii Fire Department volunteered to put their own lives at risk to recover their son’s body. They established the Daniel Sayre Foundation to honor men and women of the Hawaii County Fire Department that have gone above and beyond the call of duty and raise money for much needed rescue equipment and training. Over a million dollars has been raised to date. To purchase tickets or donate a silent auction item or individually purchase some of the equipment for the rescue teams, go to danielsayrefoundation.org for tickets or to donate.

Gail’s shows are available at espnhawaii.com, under the “lineup” tab, or on iTunes as a free podcast. For more information, contact Gail at 896-6780 or emilytgail@emilys.org.
