Police: Puna woman’s death investigated as murder

A woman’s death in Puna is now being investigated as a murder.

The body of Nadean Rutledge, 63, Pahoa, was found outside her home after police responded to a disturbance on Kapoho Kai Drive on Tuesday. She was found with “suspicious injuries,” according to the Hawaii Police Department.

Investigators ordered an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death and are investigating, police said.
