HawaiiCon is underway in South Kohala.
Continuing through Sunday, HawaiiCon, a science fiction-themed convention, immerses fans into the fantasy world of film and television stars, screen writers, comic book legends and cosplayers. On Friday, the event featured an array of activities, panels and films.
Cosplay contests for adults and keiki will be held Saturday at 1 and 4 p.m., respectively at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel. Also Saturday are panels, workshops, talks and more. HawaiiCon wraps up Sunday with more panels, talks and workshops, as well as a “thifty” cosplay contest.
