Two men are in jail after allegedly robbing a man with what appeared to be a handgun in Hilo, the Hawaii Police Department reported Friday.

At 1:20 a.m. Thursday, a 20-year-old Hilo man reported he was accosted in Ainaola Park by the two men. He told police they stole his wallet and glasses before leaving in separate vehicles.

The two suspects were spotted on Kahaopea Street, police said.

At 3:30 a.m., Joshua R.K. Domen and Bradley Burcena, both 22-year-old Hilo residents, were arrested and taken to the Hilo police cellblock.

Investigation continued and the two were charged at noon on Friday.

Domen was charged with first-degree robbery and resisting arrest, with a bail set at $5,500. Burcena was charged with first-degree robery, with a bond set at $5,000.
