A second mental examination was ordered Friday for murder suspect David True Seal.

Three mental health professionals will evaluate Seal’s fitness for trial and his state of mind at the time of the crime. Seal appeared Friday in Hilo Circuit Court.

The 36-year-old Seal, who escaped from Hawaii State Hospital on Oahu, is accused in the stabbing death of 32-year-old Rory Wick, Nov. 5, 2013, at Wick’s Eden Roc home in Puna. His next court date is Oct. 20 before Judge Glenn Hara.
