Kuakini Highway reopened about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday between Oni Oni Street and the Queen Kaahumanu Highway extension, north of Lako Street, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

Hualalai Road remained closed between its intersection with Queen Kaahumanu Highway and Hienaloli Road, according to police.

The roads were closed because of flooding, ponding and runoff amid heavy rainfall. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes.
