Jorge Quisquirin

Jorge Arce Quisquirin, 64, of Kailua-Kona, died Sept. 15, 2015. Born Aug. 7, 1951, in the Philipines, he worked as a landscaper for Kona Country Club.

A wake service will be held at 5 p.m. Sept. 25 at the Quisquirin residence. Friends may also call at 8 a.m. Sept. 26 at St. Michael’s Church in Kailua-Kona for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial is at Kona Memorial Park.

He is survived by wife, Myrna Quisquirin of Kailua-Kona; daughters, Joan Quisquirin and Jhemha Quisquirin, both of Kailua-Kona; brother, Jacinto (Carmelita) Quisquirin of California; sisters, Rexy (Carlito) Mallen, Zenaida Villoria, Amelia (Jose) Utrera and Fe (Antonio) Alacar, all of Kailua-Kona; three grandchildren.

Lovena Rodrigues

Lovena “Lovey” Pukanala Rodrigues, 32, of Mountain View died Sept. 2, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. She was born Oct. 4, 1982, in Honolulu.

Friends may call at 5 p.m. Sept. 27 at Dodo Mortuary chapel, Hilo, for a 6 p.m. service. Friends may also call at 9 a.m. Sept. 28, at the mortuary for a 10 a.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn.

She is survived by parents, Peter and Frances Rodrigues; sisters, Kasey (CJ) Kua, Desiree Raymond, Georgie Lee, Shannon Liilii, Sheri Raymond, Krystal Raymond, Carolene Kawaakoa; brothers, Darrell (Nicole) Rodrigues, Shane Rodrigues; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Prudencio Salmo

Prudencio Obena Salmo, 72, of Naalehu died Aug. 16, 2015, at home. Born April 28, 1943, in Sisim, Cabugao, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, he was retired from Kau Agribusiness Co. and Punaluu Bakery and was a member of the Naalehu Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Friends may call at 8 a.m. Sept. 26 at Naalehu Sacred Heart Catholic Church, for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial is at Naalehu Community Cemetery. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by wife, Caesaria Salmo of Naalehu; son, Russell (Mokihana) of Kailua-Kona; daughters, Pamela Salmo of Pahala, Marlene Salmo of Hilo, Cindy (Lang) Salmo of Naalehu; stepmother, Patricia Salmo of Naalehu; brother, Dennis (Levanelle) Salmo of Pahala; sisters, Beverly Barba of Vancouver, Wash., Rowena (Leon) Johnson of San Antonio; seven grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Pearl Uemoto

Pearl Asako Uemoto, 86, of Kealakekua died Sept. 14, 2015, at her residence. Born Sept. 10, 1929, in Kealakekua, she was the owner of Pearl’s Garden Center in Kealakekua and a coffee farmer.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. Sept. 26 at Helani Congregational Church in Kahaluu Mauka for a 10 a.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn.

She is survived by daughter, Arlene Kikuchi of Honolulu; sons, Stan (Andrina) Uemoto of Kealakekua, Elston Uemoto of Honaunau; brother, Francis (Kathleen) Abe of Kealakekua; sister, Grace Hiraoka of California; seven grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Adele Bahl

Adele Tatum Kline Bahl, 88, of Waikoloa died Aug. 30, 2015, in Honolulu. Born Oct. 30, 1926, in Santa Barbara, Calif., she was a travel agent, yoga instructor, alumna of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority, member of the American Association of University Women and volunteers for Hospice and Waikoloa Village Outdoor Circle.

A celebration of life will be held Oct. 30.

She is survived by sister, Elsie Tatum Whitaker; stepsons, William (Deby) Bahl, Michael Bahl; one grandson; numerous nieces and nephews.
