Angeline Andrade

Angeline T. Andrade, 73, of Hilo and formerly of Pahala died Aug. 29, 2015, at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born in Paauilo, she was a homemaker.

Private services were held.

She is survived by sons, Clement (Carla) Andrade, Jerod (Mercy) Andrade and Veedal Andrade, all of Pahala, Heath (Donella Serrao) Andrade of Hilo; daughters, Laurie Andrade of Hilo, Wendy (Mark) Fausset of Euliss, Texas; brother, John (Blace) Costa of Ahualoa; sisters, Shirley (Dave) Henderson of Slidell, La., Ethel Yamamoto of Kohala, Rose Marie (Gary) DePontes of Kona, Joanne (Walter) David of Ocean View; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Lois Zimmermann

Lois Helen Zimmermann, 90, of Hilo died Sept. 12, 2015, at Hilo Hospice-Pōhai Malama. Born Sept. 7, 1925, in Endicott, N.Y., she was a medical bookkeeper for several doctors’ offices, a member of Hilo United Methodist Church and volunteer at the Hilo SeniorNet Learning Center and Hilo United Methodist Church Peanut Butter Ministry.

Private services were held. Family requests no monetary gifts. Donations in her memory can be made to Hospice of Hilo.

She is survived by sons, Lawrence (Kathleen) Zimmermann of Londonderry, N.H., Charles (Ledy) Zimmermann of Waikoloa, Alfred (Melanie) Zimmermann II of Rockwall, Texas; daughters, Linda Kepaa of Hilo, Lucy (Bill Brisbois) Puniwai of Haslet, Texas, Catherine Gourd of Hilo; hanai daughter, Gale Puniwai of Hilo; sister, Marjorie Stevens of Sayre, Pa.; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Mirasol Santos

Mirasol Evangelista Santos, 58, of Hilo and formerly of Florida died Sept. 13, 2015, at her home. Born Nov. 17, 1956, in the Philippines, she was a seamstress and member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo.

Services will be held in Florida.

She is survived by hanai son, Buck Gentry of Florida; sisters, Erlinda Hees of Hilo, Zimalyn Santos of the Philippines; brothers, Victor Lazo and Gene Lazo, both of the Philippines.

Florence Medeiros

Florence “Flo” Medeiros, 86, of Hilo died Aug. 19, 2015, at home. Born in Honalo, she was a retired co-proprietress of Aloha Mart, former supervisor at Orchids of Hawaii and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Private services were held. Family requests no flowers or monetary gifts.

She is survived by son, Ernest (Lori) Medeiros of Hilo; daughters, Claudia (David) Calles and Trudy (Steven) Guillermo, both of Hilo; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
