Hawaii Fire Department personnel are continuing the search Sunday for a missing fisherman, who reportedly was swept off a cliff by high surf Saturday afternoon.

The fisherman was last seen by a bystander about 50 meters off shore off Paradise Ala Kai Drive in Paradise Park, according to the department.

Responding to the 2:33 p.m. Saturday alarm, fire and rescue crews were unable to locate the victim because of a lack of visibility. The search resumed Sunday morning, according to the department.
