Rain didn’t dampen the spirits of those attending the United Nations International Day of Peace Saturday in Honokaa.

The parade was moved indoors to the Honokaa Hongwanji Mission where participants performed on stage. Arts and crafts along with games for the keiki were moved under tarps and did not seem to faze them one bit.

The weeklong celebration in its ninth year is held to promote peace, compassion and awareness of universal interdependence.
