Parker School’s Paniolo Day Celebration commemorated the 100th anniversary of Kahilu Hall in Waimea on Saturday. Kahilu Hall, also known as Barbara Hall, has been at the heart of the Waimea community for generations serving as an R&R gathering place for Parker Ranch employees, a community gathering place, USO facility during World War II, and is currently part of Parker School, housing its library and other offices.

Saturday’s festivities included music, hula, entertainment, demonstrations in feather lei making and saddle making and talks on the hall’s history and life of a Parker Ranch paniolo.
