Hawaii comedian Augie T will celebrate 25 years of making audiences laugh Oct. 16 at Kahilu Theatre in Waimea.

“Augie T Live” gets underway at 7 p.m. and will include brand new material, as well as longtime fan favorites, featuring Augie’s signature lighthearted look at local life, family, and current events.

Augie T has been at the core of the local comedy revival since he began performing for audiences in Hawaii and across the United States. He was named one of Pacific Business News’ 40 Under 40, funniest comic in Hawaii by the Honolulu Star-Bulletin and Midweek, and one of Hawaii’s Top 100 Influential Filipinos. His work has also been recognized as best comedy show by Honolulu Magazine and he haswon two Hawaii Music Awards and two Na Hoku Hanohano Awards.

Tickets are $40 for VIP seating, which includes an Augie T DVD and CD, as well as an opportunity to meet Augie; regular seating ranges in price from $20 to $30. A second Big Island “Augie T Live” show is slated Nov. 7 at Palace Theater in Hilo. Tickets range in price from $20 to $40.
