Tony Award-winner and Grammy Award-nominee Lisa Hopkins, from New York, will headline two 15th annual Hoku Concert Series shows benefiting local performing arts organizations. The exclusive concerts which feature Hopkins performing Billboard hits of the decades plus popular arias, will take place at a private residence in Kona and at Kahilu Theatre.

Hopkins portrayed Mimi in Baz Luhrmann’s celebrated production of La Boheme on Broadway, for which she received a 2003 Tony Award. She was nominated for the 2010 Grammy Award for Best Opera Recording.

The Kahilu Theatre performance is Nov. 6 and benefits the Waimea-based theater.The Kona concert is slated Nov. 7 and benefits Aloha Performing Arts Company.
