Elizabeth Silva

Elizabeth “Lily” Araujo-Peloso Silva, 91, of Hilo died Oct. 5, 2015, at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center in Hilo. Born Jan. 5, 1924, in Hilo, she was a homemaker and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo.

Friends may call at 8 a.m. Oct. 8 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial is at Homelani Memorial Park. Family request casual attire be worn and no flowers.

She is survived by sons, Dominick (Mary Ellen) Peloso of California, Tony (Cathy) Peloso of Honolulu; daughters, Marie (Scott) Schock of California, Adeline (Jim) Correa of Hilo; brother, Alfred (Lore) Araujo of Virginia; sister, Bernice Schubert of California; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.

Corrine Kela

Corrine Aloha Kela, 62, of Hilo died Sept. 23, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a “sponsor” with Alcoholics Anonymous and previously employed at the former Waikiki Biltmore, Gay Nineties, and Wagon Wheel Restaurant as a country dancer.

Private services were held.

She is survived by mother, Angeline Hanoa of Hilo; son, Adam (Heather) Fagan Kela of Rhode Island; brothers, Russell Kela of Michigan, Adren (Rae) Kela of Kailua, Oahu, Blue Kela, G. Kamalani Kela and Raylad (Geraldine) Brown, all of Hilo; sister, C. Kaimi Harnsberger of Orange County, Calif., C. Moana (Marlon) McKinzie-Greer of Marval, Colo., Cheryl (Kent) Kiyotsuka of Hilo, Lori Brown of Honolulu; one grandson; numerous hanai children, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Elaine Agcaoili

Elaine Emiko Yamada Agcaoili, 71, of Monterey Park, Calif., died Sept. 29, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Pahala, she was a retired grade school teacher with the Garvey School District in California.

Services are pending.

She is survived by husband, Ernest Agcaoili of Monterey Park, Calif.; daughter, Lesli Agcaoili of Fremont, Calif.; sister, Carol Nakano of Montebello, Calif.
