Aloha Performing Arts Company will start a new round of theater skills classes for all ages this month with Felicity Johnson’s Intergenerational Acting Class, which begins Thursday. The class runs 2 to 4 p.m. on Thursdays and is open to all ages. Tuition is $10 per class meeting per student.

APAC artistic director Jerry Tracy resumes his “Tuesday Troupers” class for 8 to 12 year olds on Oct. 20. The class, which focuses on performance tools and skills, will meet 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. each Tuesday through Nov. 24. Tuition is $60 per student. Tracy is assisted by Riley Newton, and this session’s theme is “giving.”

Engela Edwards, founder and former executive director of Easy Theatre in Austin, Texas, will take the reins of APAC’s Keiki Theatre class, which meets from 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesdays, Oct. 21 through Nov. 25. The class is designed for 4 to 7 year olds, and will feature structured play and beginning level theater skill development. Tuition is $60 per student.

Each of these classes will be conducted at the Aloha Theatre in Kainaliu, and will feature a free public sharing performance on the last class day.

In addition, Aloha Teen Theatre, for ages 13 through 18, meets every Friday from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. at the APAC Loft, across the street and a block south of the theater. Engela Edwards is the adviser of ATT, which offers free ongoing theater education and performance opportunities. Members will work on various fundraising activities in the community, to raise money for an off island theatre excursion.
