Linda Ann Vorobik will offer a workshop titled, “Botanical Painting: Watercolor and Gouache (or Colored Pencil)” Oct. 24 and 25 in South Kona.
The workshop, which runs both days from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., will focus on creating your best botanical illustrations and portraits though building a strong foundation in color and the painting techniques used in botanical art. Media used will be watercolor and gouache. The workshop is designed for both the beginner and for those who have artistic skills in botanical art.
Cost is $200 for members of Society for Kona’s Education and Arts and $220 for nonmembers. SKEA is located in Honaunau at 84-5191 Mamalahoa Highway. Class size is limited to 12.
