The 24th annual Pumpkin Patch Festival gets underway Sunday morning at Hawaii Preparatory Academy’s Upper Campus in Waimea.

The fun-filled family festival runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. offering games and activities such as a climbing wall, horseback rides, laser tag, sumo wrestling, Hawaiian tattoos, sand art, keiki haunted house, bubble ball soccer and more, including a water park, so, families are encouraged to bring a swimsuit and towel. Wristbands, which provide unlimited access to all of the activities, are $20 presale and $25 at the door.

For those 5 and younger, the Pumpkin Patch Festival now offers a new Keiki Korral. A special $10 keiki wristband provides unlimited access to a petting zoo, games, face painting, bouncy castle, dino dig, fishing wall, Zoo Choo train and more.

A new indoor food court includes a wide variety of offerings such as hamburgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, teriyaki beef, poke, caesar salad, Hawaiian plates and other favorites. There will also be plenty of beverages, shave ice, cookies, kettle corn, ice cream, malasadas, cotton candy and more.

The festival will be emceed by Sandy and Kapena, of 92 FM The Wave, and will feature live entertainment by The Hiccup Circus, Paani Pila, Grayden Hai-Kelly, Honokaa Jazz Ensemble, HPA cheerleaders, HPA Musician’s Collective, Ms. B and the Boys (Sean Harmon), Dagan Bernstein on ukulele and others.

Also planned Sunday is a “White Elephant” sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and a silent auction, both in the Hawaii Preparatory Academy Castle Gymnasium. The sale will feature new or gently used art, accessories, clothing, furniture, bedding, sports equipment, luggage, musical instruments and other household items. The proceeds will benefit HPA’s clubs, sports teams, teachers and educational programs.
