Frank Lopez

Frank Gregory Lopez, 84, of Hilo died Nov. 14, 2015, at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born Oct. 3, 1931, in Makaweli, Kauai, he was a retired maintenance worker for the state Highways Department and an Army veteran.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. Nov. 25 at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo for a 10 a.m. service. Burial follows at noon at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2 in Hilo. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by wife, Gladys Lopez of Hilo; sons, Frank Lopez III of Kalaheo, Kauai, Thomas Lopez of Lihue, Kauai, Eric (Kerry) Lopez of Oahu, Stacey Kobayashi of Portland, Ore.; daughter, Denise (Kalani) Louis of Oahu; brother, Gerald Lopez of Pahoa; sisters, Barbara Silva of Kekaha, Isabel (Marcelino) Coyaso and Virginia Lopez, both of Kalaheo, Kauai; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Kazue Aoki

Kazue “Aunty Kay” Aoki, 82, of Kealakekua died Nov. 7, 2015, at her residence. Born April 16, 1933, in Kealakekua, she worked at Orchids of Hawaii at the old Kona Inn Shopping Center, was a retired customer service representative for Parts Center Hawaii, office manager for Aoki Plumbing LLC, member of Akitsu Kumiai and Kona Hongwanji Buddhist Temple.

Friends may call at 2 p.m. Nov. 28 at Kona Hongwanji Buddhist Temple for a 4 p.m service. Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.

She is survived by sons, Sidney (Victoria) Aoki, Dale Aoki, both of Kealakekua; daughters, Pauline (Glenn Yano) Aoki-Yano, Claudia Chang, both of of Kealakekua, Lynn (Arnold Tokuyama) Aoki-Tokuyama of Kailua-Kona; brothers, Richard (Mae) Nakashima, Harry (Marian) Nakashima, both of Honolulu; sister, Lily Yuriko Muraoka of Honolulu, Eiko (Raymond) Ikeda of Gardena, Calif.; 14 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Lawrence Deponte

Lawrence “Pocho” Shane Deponte, 60, of Kailua-Kona died Sept. 16, 2015, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Aug. 5, 1955, in Honolulu, he was a stone mason, tattoo artist, artist and member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local No. 1 of Hawaii and Hawaii Bricklayers and Tilesetters Local No. 1.

A celebration of life will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Nov. 28 at Kona Palisades pavilion. Family requests casual attire be worn. Flower lei are welcome.

He is survived by daughter, Ashley (Jason) Narciso of Kailua-Kona; son, Shane Deponte of Ewa Beach, Oahu; brothers, Waltin Deponte, Michael Marks, Joseph Alameda and John Deponte, all of Honolulu, Wallace Deponte of Maui, Patrick Deponte of San Francisco; sisters, Jojan Alameda and Jodi Deponte, both of Honolulu; one granddaughter; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lodybesy “Lody” Ludwig Glory, 81, of Kealakekua died Oct. 25, 2015, at his daughter’s residence. Born Aug. 25, 1934, in Honaunau, he was a retired police officer.

Friends may call at 6 p.m. Nov. 27 at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in Honaunau for a 7:30 p.m. rosary. Friends may also call at 8 a.m. Nov. 28 at the church for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial follows at Kona Memorial Park in Holualoa. Family requests casual attire be worn. Flowers are welcome.

He is survived by wife, Pearl Glory of Kealakekua; son; Lloyd (Shari) Glory of Seattle; daughter, Lisa (Thomas) Klein of Chicago; brothers, Bonipacio (Mary) Glory of Torrance, Calif., Joseph (Gertrude) Glory and Robert (Lorraine) Glory, both of Kohala; three grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Yasuo Honda

Yasuo Honda, 92, of Honaunau died Oct. 31, 2015, at Life Care Center of Kona. Born May 5, 1923, in Keei, he was a farmer and member of Honaunau Kumiai No. 3 and Hoolokahi Congregational Church.

Friends may call at 2 p.m. Nov. 28 at the Kona Outdoor Circle for a 3 p.m. service. Family requests aloha attire be worn and no flowers or monetary gifts.

Kay Kaye, 80, of Kapaau died Oct. 28, 2015, at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born Jan. 16, 1935, in San Jose, Calif., she was a medical practice administrator.

Mildred Momi McKeague, 85, of Waimea died Nov. 7, 2015. She was born in Honolulu.

Judith Mancuso

Judith Mancuso, 70, of Waikoloa died Nov. 11, 2015, at home. Born March 10, 1945, in Waynesburg, Pa., she worked for the Visiting Nurse Association of San Diego, retired as executive assistant to the Foundation of Palomar College and volunteered at the cancer center at North Hawaii Community Hospital.

Donald G. Shaw, 78, of Hilo died Oct. 30, 2015, at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Michigan, he was a retired radio technician for the U.S. Navy.
