Frank Lopez

Frank Gregory Lopez, 84, of Hilo is survived by daughter, Denise (Louis) Lopez-Kalani of Honolulu. The name was incorrect in an earlier obituary because of information supplied by the mortuary.

Ronnie Cabanting

Ronnie Battad Cabanting, 42, of Keaau died Nov. 13, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Nov. 25, 1972, in Hilo, he was a carpenter and member of the Carpenter Union and Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Keaau.

Friends may call at 6 p.m. Nov. 27 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 7 p.m. service. Friends may also call at 8 a.m. Nov. 28 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Keaau for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial is at Alae Cemetery in Hilo. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by daughter, Alexis Cabanting of Oahu; parents, Ben and Kathy Cabanting of Keaau; brother, Jeffrey (Sherry) Cabanting of Colorado; two aunts; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Constancia Saplan

Constancia “Connie” Arellano Saplan, 79, of Kailua-Kona died Nov. 20, 2015, at Hospice of Kona’s Nakamaru Hale. Born Feb. 10, 1936, in Tamaling, Tarlac, Philippines, she was a housekeeper at the former Kona Surf Resort, a macadamia nut and coffee farmer and member of the Kona Coffee Co-op and the ILWU hotel union.

Friends may call at 8 a.m. Nov. 27 at Kona Outdoor Circle in Kailua-Kona for a 10 a.m. service. Burial follows at Kona Memorial Park in Holualoa. Family requests casual attire be worn. Flowers are welcome.

She is survived by daughter, Telsin (Jordan) Brower of Seattle; sons, Peter (Cindy) Saplan of Las Vegas, Roy Saplan and Jeff (Kara) Saplan, both of Olympia, Wash., Neal (Lee) Saplan of Kailua-Kona; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Robert Kanahele Sr.

Robert Kalani Kanahele Sr., 57, of Mountain View died Oct. 11, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu.

A celebration of life and potluck will be held from noon to 8 p.m. Nov. 28 at Onekahakaha Beach pavilion No. 4. Friends may also call at 3 p.m. Nov. 29 at Kokokahi YWCA, Atherton Hall, 4535 Kaneohe Bay Drive, Kaneohe, Oahu, for a service. Paina follows at 5 p.m. Condolences may be sent to P.O.
