A stellar lineup of Big Island chefs will wow attendees of the 27th annual Christmas with the Chefs holiday gala Dec. 5 at King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel. The American Culinary Federation Kona Kohala Chefs Association fundraiser runs from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
Attendees can enjoy live music by the Bill Noble Trio, dancing under the stars and a silent auction before partaking in a meal prepared by top chefs. Christmas with the Chefs benefits culinary students attending Hawaii Community College-Palamanui and members of the Kona Kohala Chefs who want to further their education.
Culinary participants include the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, Sansei Seafood Restaurant and Sushi Bar, the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows, Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel, Kailua Candy Co., Pueo’s Osteria, Huggo’s, The Feeding Leaf, Lava Lava Beach Club, Red Water Cafe, Habaneros Bar and Grill, King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel, Kohala Burger and Taco, and Mai Grille by Chef Allen Hess. The event also features handcrafted libations by Kona Brewing Co., Mehana Brewing Co. and Big Island Brewhaus, as well as fine wines and pure Kona coffee.
Tickets are $85 presale or $90 at the door.
