Mae Vinta Yamamoto, 78, of Honolulu died Nov. 23, 2015, at St. Francis Hospice Nuuanu. She was born in Kohala.

She is survived by husband, Charles Yamamoto of Honolulu; sister, Elaine Murota of Honolulu; numerous nieces and nephews.

Catherine Creason

Catherine Mary Creason, 54, of Hilo died Nov. 23, 2015, at home. Born in St. Helena, Calif., she was a homemaker.

Paulette Hashimoto

Paulette Iwa Iwa Hashimoto, 67, of Hookena died Nov. 10, 2015, at Castle Medical Center. Born Nov. 3, 1948, in Honolulu. she worked as a pathology technician, clinical assistant, medical records keeper and ER clerk.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. Dec. 12 at the Painted Church, St. Benedict in Honaunau for a 10 a.m. Mass. A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. at her Hookena home. Family requests aloha attire be worn.

She is survived by husband, Arnold Hashimoto Sr. of Hookena; sons, Kelly (Pamela) Arquero of Kaneohe, Oahu, Arnold (Jamie) Hashimoto Jr. of Waimanalo, Oahu, Toshio (Sabrina) Hashimoto of Kona; daughters, Toshiko (Russell) Hashimoto Decoito of Kona, Andrea (Kalani) Aiona of Hookena; hanai daughter, Maraea Hurley of Kona; 20 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

James Dowsett

James Alexander Dowsett, 90, of Waimea died Oct. 30, 2015. Born Dec. 20, 1924, in Honolulu, he was an Army veteran, rancher and a member of Hawaii Saddle Club, American Quarter Horse Association, Outrigger Canoe Club, U.S. Team Roping Championships and the Hawaii Realtors Association.

Friends may call from noon to 5 p.m. Dec. 19 at the Dowsett Ranch for a celebration of life.

He is survived by wife, Mary Ann Dowsett of Waimea; sons, Alika (Aleta) Dowsett and Kawika Dowsett, both of Honolulu; daughters, Keahi (Bob) Kummer of Midland, Mich., Mealani (David) Morgan of Ahualoa, Poomai Dowsett of Waimea; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Mallory Jay Bumgarner, 63, of Kealakekua died Nov. 23, 2015, at his residence. Born May 4, 1952, in Statesville, N.C., he was a ranch manager and boat captain.

Adam Kakalia, 51, of Hilo died Nov. 21, 2015. Born in Waimanalo, Oahu, he was a cannabis farmer.

Lorenzo “Sot” Pucong, 87, of Kaawaloa, Kona, died Nov. 22, 2015, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Sept. 5, 1928, in Kainaliu, he was a self-employed coffee farmer.

He is survived by wife, Magdalena Pucong of Kaawaloa; sons, Albert (Elaine) Pucong of Kalaoa, Patrick (Tanya) Pucong of Holualoa, Clifford (Colleen) Milar of Arleta, Calif., David Pucong of Kaawaloa; daughter, Carol Pucong of Kaawaloa; sister, Magdalena Bugtong of Kaneohe, Oahu; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.

Mohichi “Richard” Kubo, 91, of Kurtistown died Nov. 13, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Dec. 2, 1923, in Ninole, he was a retired fish peddler.

He is survived by wife, Aiko Kubo of Kurtistown; daughter, Kerinne (Michael) Smith of Kurtistown; son, Timothy (Lynn) Kubo of Oahu; brothers, Kenneth (Evelyn) Kubo of Hilo, Kiyoshi (Barbara) Kubo of Hakalau; sister, Motoko Nishie of Oahu; four grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Gregory Crisafi

Gregory “Greg” Wyatt Kuuipoikekaimalinookona Crisafi, 58, of Kailua-Kona died Nov. 27, 2015, at Kona Community Hospital. Born May 20, 1957, in Kealakekua, he was a landscaper for Triple T Landscaping, member of South Kona Assembly of God and an Army National Guard veteran.

Charlotte Ann Foster, 69, of Hilo died Aug. 15, 2015. Born in Oklahoma, she was a retired home care certified nurse assistant.

Namie Honda, 93, of Hilo died Nov. 1, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. Born June 10, 1922, in Pahoa, she was the retired original owner of Hilo Lunch Shop and member of the Hilo Association for Family and Community Education, Kanoelani Association and Heritage Christian Fellowship.

Private services were held. Family requests no monetary gifts or flowers.

She is survived by son, Melvin (Lynette) Honda of Honolulu; daughter, Susan (Nelson) Fukuhara of Hilo; brother, Kunimitsu (Hatsumi) Yoshiwa of Pepeekeo; sister, Sumiko Kai of Honolulu; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Harue Kinoshita

Harue “Dixie” Kinoshita, 88, of Kapaau died Nov. 24, 2015, at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born Jan. 14, 1927, in Kohala, she was an employee of H. Naito Store, was retired from Kohala Nursery and a member of Hawi Jodo Mission and Kohala Senior Citizens.

She is survived by daughter, Renee (Elroy) Ito of Hawi; son, Marc (Michele) Kinoshita of Waimea; three grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
