Three people were injured in an ATV accident on an off-road trail Sunday afternoon in Hamakua.
The accident was reported at 12:47 p.m. and responders were on their way at 12:53 p.m. They arrived at the area at 1:08 p.m., the release said.
Fire officials said the injured people were driving on the Mana Road, a 4×4 trail near Keanakolu Road in state lands, according to the release.
One person was taken by helicopter and the other two by ambulance to Hilo Medical Center. All three were conscious when they were evacuated, said Battalion Chief Jerry Lum.
