Hawaii Island police are asking the public for help in identifying one or more persons whose images were captured on surveillance cameras in connection with the use of stolen credit cards.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, a laptop and numerous credit cards were stolen from the 75-6000 block of Alii Drive in Kailua-Kona. The stolen credit cards were later used at various locations in Kona, including some with surveillance cameras.
Police ask anyone who knows the identities of the person or persons in the photos to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311 or contact Detective Carrie Akina at 326-4646, extension 277 or carrie.akina@hawaiicounty.gov.
Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
